A 53-Year-Old Male is the 70th and a 68-Year-Old Male is the 71st Allegany County Residents to Pass Away as a Result of COVID-19
The Allegany County Department of Health (ACDOH) is sad to report to our residents and community there have been two additional COVID-19 related deaths bringing our local total to 71. These deaths, a male age 53 and a male age 68, were due to complications or a consequence of COVID-19. We extend our deepest condolences to their families, and we ask that you respect the families’ privacy during this difficult time.
It is imperative that Allegany County residents continue to wear a mask regardless of your vaccination status, follow social/physical distancing protocols when possible, stay home if you are ill, wash your hands often to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus, limit social gatherings to small intimate groups if possible, and GET VACCINATED. The vaccine has been shown to reduce the risk of hospitalizations and serious illness so it is important now more than ever to GET VACCINATED. If you have not received your booster dose yet, we highly recommend that you locate a vaccine by visiting www.vaccines.gov.
