Veterans honored by ICS students with program

Students at Immaculate Conception School learned about history, performed songs and held a tribute to military members who never returned home on Friday

It was part of a program featuring the American Legion Color Guard presenting the colors and the flag for the Star Spangled Banner and the Pledge of Allegiance.

ICS Principal Rich Seigel welcomed the large audience to the church and students in each class performed or read historical notes.

During a salute to community members from each military branch, 8th grade students with their kindergarten buddies went around the church and handed out thank you notes they made in class.
