Roger W. Granger, 75, of Salamanca, NY, died Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Olean General Hospital, following health complications.  

Born July 18, 1946 in Warsaw, NY, he was the son of the late William L. and Doris Clara Cochran Granger, he was married on August 8, 1981 to the late Darla J. Jimerson, who predeceased him in 2015.   

Roger owned and operated a dairy farm in Franklinville, NY for several decades, drove milk truck for Slocum’s of Farmersville, NY, and retired as a much loved school bus driver for Salamanca High School. Later, he returned to bus driving part time for the Seneca Nation.  

Roger was a Lifetime Member of the Genesee Valley Antique Tractor Pulling Club (GVATC). Although he missed his wife everyday, he enjoyed traveling with family, antique tractor pulling, spending time with his children, and his companion pets. 

Surviving are:  a son, William G. Granger, Kill Buck, NY and soon to be Granddaughter; a daughter, Jennifer L. Granger, Salamanca, NY; two very special nephews, Jake Granger (Penny) Murietta, CA and Kenneth Granger (Brenda) Belchertown, MA; and many loving nieces & nephews and great-nieces & great-nephews  

Besides his wife, he was predeceased by several brothers and two sisters. Roger’s family is grateful to his neighbors on Crescent Street for the care, assistance and concern shown to him over the years and especially the past 6 months.

Friends may call at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY on Friday, October 8, 2021 from 2–4 and 7–9 pm.

Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Saturday at 11 am with Pastor Bruce Smith of the Higgins Wesleyan Church of Freedom, NY, officiating.  

Burial will be in Memorial Heights Cemetery, Jimersontown, NY.
