August 25th, 2021, Amity-based Troopers arrested a 26 year old Friendship man for a host of offenses in the town of Amity. Some sort of a motor vehicle chase ensued after state police attempted a traffic stop, which didn’t end well for the driver: He was charged with three serious traffic crimes, all misdemeanors and was ROR for a future court date.

August 26th, 2021, Olean-based Troopers, working with the New York State Liquor Authority, conducted a dozen underage alcohol sales checks. The sweep of convenience stores, liquor stores, and grocery stores found 100% compliance.
Wellsville Village Police
August 26, 2021 Wellsville Police arrested a female, age 36 of Wellsville, charging her on a Violation of Probation. she was processed and turned over to the Allegany County Sheriff’s Department. She is due to appear in Allegany County Court at a later date.
Elmira City Police: Update
August 27th,2021 Elmira City Police attempted to arrest a known wanted outlaw, who intern fired on police and fled on foot. The city police officer who exchanged gunfire with David Wandell, 53, of Elmira, was injured on a fence and required surgery(that was successful.) Mulitple-agencies responded, including the Elmira Heights Police, Elmira Police, West Elmira Police, Chemung County Sheriff’s Office, Horseheads Police, NYS Parole, and NYS Police.
According to the report below from MyTwinTiers.com, police located the dangerous criminal and attempted to take him into custody. He refused, brandished a weapon, and was fatally shot by police.
