Sheriff Rick Whitney just announced his choice for the new Undersheriff of Allegany County. Scott Cicirello was introduced to the legislature and expressed gratitude to Sheriff Whitney for the appointment. Cicirello also briefly addressed the legislature, acknowledged that he is already acquainted with many legislators and looked forward to working with the board moving forward. Cicirello is a life long public servant; serving local police departments, the New York State Police, and the Allegany County District Attorney’s office. He is a graduate of Wellsville High School Class of 1992.
Judge Terrance Parker was on hand to administer the oath of office, as Scott’s wife Jenise proudly looks on. As of that oath, Allegany County has a new Undersheriff and we look forward to learning more about Cicirello’s approach to the new job.
