Stabbing in Cuba: On August 10th, 2021, at approximately 6:29PM, following an investigation into a report of a stabbing, Cuba Police arrested Darrell D. Goston (49) of Buffalo. Goston was arrested on charges of criminal possession of a weapon 3rd with a previous conviction (Felony) and assault with a weapon 1st (Felony). Goston was processed and placed in front of a judge and sent to the Allegany County Jail on $20,000.00 bail. Goston is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of Law.
*Social media reporting by Katie Whatspoppin on the Cuba Police Department page indicate that Goston was released on bail.
Wellsville Public Lewdness: Wednesday August 11, 2021, Wellsville Police arrested a man, age 45 of Bolivar, Charging him with three counts of Public Lewdness. The charges stem from three separate incidents on North Main Street in the Village. The repeat offender was processed, issued appearance tickets and released.
“Mr. Lewd,” is due to appear in Wellsville Village Court on August 17th at 4: 30 pm.
*The village of Wellsville has seen more lewd, drunken, drugged out jerks than can be recalled. They seem to have created a pack, wandering around from place to place with Natty Daddy’s(cheap strong beer) in tow. One resident commented, “what in the hell? It’s like Mike Hile’s wasted cousins found out he died and invaded town!”

Vehicle Complaint leads to DWI Arrest for Ohio Woman: On August 12, 2021 at approximately 1:20pm, Troopers out of SP Fredonia arrested a Columbus, OH woman for Driving While Intoxicated.
Troopers responded to a 911 call about a reckless driver heading northbound on NY-60 in the town of Pomfret. Troopers located the vehicle and observed it failing to maintain its lane. Civilian witnesses also reported observing the vehicle “all over the roadway.”
During the interview, Troopers noted obvious signs of impairment, admissions, as well as failure of standardized field sobriety tests at the scene. She was arrested and processed at SP Fredonia before being transported to Chautauqua County Jail for arraignment.
Pennsylvania man and woman arrested for forgery and DWAI-Drugs in Carrollton:
On August 10, 2021, SP Olean Troopers arrested a Erie PA woman, for Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd Degree and three counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree and Brockway, PA man for Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd Degree, Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, three counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, and numerous traffic infractions.
During a traffic stop on I-86 in the town of Carrollton, Troopers determined the male involved had been operating a motor vehicle while in an impaired condition. He failed standardized field sobriety tests at the scene. Troopers discovered two counterfeit $100 bills, cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, and fentanyl in the vehicle. Both were arrested and transported to SP Olean. Both were arraigned in Carrollton Town Court and released on their own recognizance to appear in October.
Olean man arrested for DWAI-Drugs in Olean: On June 29, 2021, SP Olean Troopers arrested a Olean, NY man for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs.
Troopers investigating a motor vehicle accident in the town of Portville, the man had been operating a motor vehicle while in an impaired condition. He failed standardized field sobriety tests at the scene. He was arrested and transported to SP Amity where he was released with appearance tickets for Portville Town Court, where he is due to appear later this month.
*The NYSP make a staggering number of DWI arrests. Could the days of the DWI be over soon?
