At 13 years old, Madea should have experienced a lifetime of joy and happiness with someone who loves her, but the truth is that she has only ever known abuse. She came to the shelter almost four months ago as a cruelty case with her spirit completely broken.
Having given up on a happy ending, she didn’t even have the motivation to lift her head. After receiving much TLC and about a million hugs from shelter caretakers, Madea feels hopeful about her future for the first time in her life. We have promised her that we will do everything we can to help her find the wonderful home she has always deserved. And because she has gone without being loved for so long, she is in urgent need of it.
