William C. “Billy” SCHWEIGART, 62, of Coudersport, PA, formerly of Wellsville, NY, died Saturday, July 17, 2021 in Jones Memorial Hospital, Wellsville, NY.  

William Schweigart

Born April 18, 1959, in Wellsville, he was the son of William A. and Ruth Dexter Schweigart.  On May 19, 2017, in Coudersport, he married Jill Malkin Hughart, who survives.  A graduate of 1977 Northern Potter High School, he served with the U.S. Navy from 1978 – 1980.  Billy was employed by Air Preheater in Wellsville, Adelphia in Coudersport, and Ace Hardware in Coudersport.  He was an avid cook and gardener, using vegetables he raised to create his own recipes.  An outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, camping, and geocaching.  

Surviving besides his wife, Jill, are:  two children, David Puchlettner of Charlotte, NC and Virginia Deaton of Selinsgrove;  two grandchildren, Lily Deaton and Alex Bruce, II;  two sisters, Lori Avery of Wellsville and Ruthie (Donald) Jacobs of Whitesville, NY;  nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Kimberly Sue Schweigart.  

Friends may call at Olney-Foust Funeral Homes & Crematory, Ulysses, PA on Sunday, July 25, 2021 from 2:00 – 3:00 PM, with a Memorial Service following at 3:00 PM.  Rev. Dennis Munro will officiate.  Memorials may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation at www.jdrf.org.
