New York State Police Conduct Underage Alcohol Compliance Checks

Troopers conduct an Underage Drinking Initiative in Allegany County:

On July 2, 2021 New York State Police conducted an Underage Drinking Initiative that spanned one town and three villages in Allegany County.

One location was found not to be in compliance with the laws dealing with the sale of alcohol to persons under the age of 21: SS Mart, in the village of Cuba, NY.

As a result of the initiative, Kayla M. Washington, age 28 of Alfred, NY was charged under the New York Alcoholic Beverage Control law, section 65 – Prohibited Sale to a Person Under the Age of 21.  Washington was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Cuba Village Court in July 2021.

The following establishments were checked and found to be in compliance: Dollar General, in the town of Cuba, NY, Giant, in the village of Cuba, NY, Shop N Save, Crosby’s, The Bulldog Bar and Grill, in the village of Bolivar, NY, and Walgreens, Save A Lot, Marathon, and 7/11 in the village of Wellsville, NY.
