Amity-based Troopers and the Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI) are investigating a death on Jordan Hill Road in the town of Clarksville. Police issued a very thin press release providing no specific details. They said no further information would be issued until a later time. According to Allegany County 911 scanner reports, Troopers were called for a reported home invasion where the homeowner allegedly shot the intruder multiple times. A man was declared dead at the scene. The scene unfolded at 2 a.m. Sunday morning.

UPDATE 3pm 6/7/21: The shooting death of a 42-year-old man is now headed to an Allegany County Grand Jury. Scanner broadcasts indicated that at 2 a.m. Sunday, there was an alleged home invasion on Jordan Hill Road in Clarkesville where the homeowner shot and killed the alleged intruder. State Police have not provided any information regarding the circumstances. Social media has suggested the homeowner and alleged intruder knew each other, again unconfirmed – it’s social media and police are not commenting. It’s unclear when a Grand Jury will hear this case.
