Four Wellsville residents have been sentenced to state prison, a teen to probation and three cases remain outstanding in the murder case of 23-year-old Nicholas Burdge of North Main Street in Wellsville. Here’s what we know from the Allegany County court:

·         On January 13, 2021, Richelle L. An Alford plea is a guilty plea in criminal court, whereby a defendant in a criminal case does not admit to the criminal act and asserts innocence. A sentencing date has not yet been set.

He admitted that he intended to cause serious physical injury by blunt force trauma. No sentencing date has been set.
