Thelma Daley Cady THOMAS, 105, formerly of Port Allegany, Ulysses, and Gold, PA, died Tuesday, April 6, 2021 in Sweden Valley Manor, Coudersport.  

Born February 22, 1916, in Oswayo, she was the daughter of Patrick T. and Nancy Rhoades Daley.  She was married to Lester C. Thomas, who predeceased her on June 2, 2001.  She was employed by Cameo Doll Plant and Pittsburgh Corning in Port Allegany, and Corning Glass Works in Bradford.  She owned and operated several businesses including restaurants, gift shops, and quilting shops.  In addition to teaching quilting, she made well over 500 quilts.  Thelma was a sales representative for Stanley Home Products and Bee Line clothes.  She was a member of Royal Neighbors of America and attended the Ulysses United Methodist Church.  

Surviving are:  three children, Marylou (Gordon) Erway of Gold, Larry (Vicki) Cady of Maryville, MO, and Carole (Mike Majot) Briggs of Austin;  many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Nancy Wells;  two granddaughters, Amanda K. Erway and Patricia Briggs;  a brother, Richard L. “Mike” Daley;  her step-mother, Minnie Daley;  and three step-children, Carol Swartz, Robert D. Thomas, and Patricia Haskins.  

Friends may call at Gold Church, 2402 SR 49W, Ulysses, PA 16948 on Monday, April 12, 2021 from 12:00 – 1:00 PM, with Funeral Services following at 1:00 PM.  CDC and PA Department of Health guidelines apply.  Rev. Frank Mickle, Pastor, will officiate.  Memorials may be made to Gold Church, 2402 SR 49W, Ulysses, PA 16948 or Tri-Town Volunteer Ambulance, P.O. Box 247, Ulysses, PA 16948.
