It’s that time of year when animal rescue groups wince and brace themselves for “Kitten Season”. The hundreds of unwanted, feral, and neglected cats in Allegany County produce thousands of kittens who are also largely unwanted.
The Allegany County SPCA bears much of the brunt of ‘kitten season’ and really needs some help with providing proper birthing environment for female cats who are soon to give birth.
“We are in desperate need of fosters to help get these pregnant moms out of the shelter ASAP! If you have a spare room for one of these mommas, please email us at spcaallegany@gmail.com for a foster application.”
