Allegany County continues to make first responder wellness a priority

The Allegany County Sheriffs Office in conjunction with the Allegany County Office of Emergency Management will be hosting a Wellness Training for First Responders on November 14 th 2026. The training will be held at the Crossroads Center located at 6087 State Route 19, Angelica, NY from 8:00 am to 3 pm.
All training materials and lunch will be provided at no cost.
This course is designed for both leadership and frontline EMS professionals and firefighters. Agency leaders will gain the knowledge, tools, and strategies needed to implement and sustain a wellness initiative within their departments to help prevent burnout, reduce stress, improve morale, and build organizational resilience. Participants will learn about SAMHSA’s 8 Dimensions of Wellness and how they apply to the unique challenges faced by emergency medical and fire service personnel.
