The Allegany County Ancient order of Hibernians (AOH) has announced the attached listing of Trophy winners for their 2026 Annual Car Show.  Joseph Pierson of Painted Post, NY won Best Of Show with his 1933 Black Healy Dodge Hot rod with Red Interior.  

The close Runner Up for Best of Show was Belmont’s Don Skinner with his Blue 1932 Ford Dearborn Deuce Coupe.  

Fran Slocum’s 1937 Purple Plymouth Coupe was the Gee and Bailey Family’s top pick for the Annual Roger Gee Memorial trophy winner sponsored by Tim & Sue Colligan and Family.

The engine Blow Up cont lasted a record 39+ minutes before the oil free and waterless Chevy Traverse’s engine seized and stopped running.  The Chevy was again donated by Jake Riehle at Affordable Automotive LLC of Andover, NY.

Allegany County AOH President John Dean was “extremely pleased with the AOH Car Show Turnout which has over 200 car, truck, tractor and race car vehicles entered this year. We also had a huge amount of local spectators come into the park to see all the great cars and to sample the local food truck menus”  President Dean also “thanked the Town of Wellsville and Supervisor Patty Graves for allowing our Annual AOH Car Show to have such a great venue in beautiful Island Park.  In addition we thank all our Trophy Sponsors which help us be able to have great car show in Wellsville, NY to help raise funding for our local AOH food and education charities here in Allegany County”.   Dean also noted that “we had car show entries from Western NY State to Rochester, Corning, Elmira and Binghamton areas plus many cars from Pennsylvannia. Some car show entries has a 3 hour plus drive to get to Wellsville which we appreciate”.

The local AOH Division also now has provided photographic proof attached below that Wellsville’s Own Sister Alice is a True Chevrolet Fan as she loved Jeremy Cole’s 1970 Chevy Silverado as well as Jessica Fahs’ Yellow C6 Corvette Stingray Coupe.  Sister also again kept any rain from coming near or over the Island park Car Show which made all 200 plus cars entered as true winners for coming to display their great rides.  

The local AOH Division now focuses on their next  Irish event which is the “World’s Shortest Saint Patricks Day parade in Downtown Wellsville, NY on Friday, March 12th, 2027 just over 5 months away.  Any and all Green Cars, Trucks and Vehicles are welcome to be in the 2027 World’s Shortest St Patrick’s Day parade which is A VERY SHORT 12 foot parade route in the Center of Downtown Wellsville, NY!
