Annika holds a Masters degree in Glass Science from Alfred University

The Wellsville Creative Arts Center (WCAC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Annika Blake-Howland as its new Studio & Programming Manager, bringing a unique combination of experience in art, science, education, museum conservation, and community programming to the WCAC.
Annika recently completed her Master of Science in Glass Science at Alfred University and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. Her academic and professional work reflects a strong interest in the intersection of art, materials, education, and preservation.
At the Gardner Glass Center at Alfred University, Annika has contributed to exhibition development and programming, community outreach, collections management, and student engagement. Her work has given her experience not only in caring for and interpreting art objects, but also in creating opportunities for people to learn, participate, and connect through the arts.
As Studio & Programming Manager, Annika will help oversee the day-to-day operation of WCAC’s studios while working closely with instructors, students, Artists in Residence, and the broader community. She will also play an important role in developing new classes, workshops, programs, and creative opportunities designed to expand access to arts education in the region.
“We are excited to welcome Annika to the Wellsville Creative Arts Center,” said Founder Andy Glanzman. “Her combination of studio experience, education, science, conservation, and programming is incredibly well suited to a community arts center like ours. We’re especially excited about the perspective she brings as we look for new ways to grow our programming and make creative experiences accessible to more people throughout our rural community.”
The addition of Annika Blake-Howland reflects WCAC’s continued commitment to providing high-quality arts education, engaging programming, and a welcoming space where creativity and community can come together.
