WELLSVILLE, NY. The magic of Christmas is about to get a little more natural at the second annual Jingle & Glow Holiday Celebration, as Kent Farms of Andover joins this year’s event as a new sponsor.
Family-owned and operated by the Kent family, Kent Farms, located in Andover, has been part of the Southern Tier’s Christmas tradition for generations. The farm offers both live, choose-and-cut and pre-cut Christmas trees, along with other seasonal greenery.
The addition of Kent Farms brings something especially meaningful to the 2nd Annual Jingle & Glow celebration at the Fassett Greenspace, which is the beauty and tradition of live Christmas trees. “The tradition of decorating with evergreens at Christmas is rooted in history”, said Ann Comstock, President of the board of the Thelma Rogers Genealogical Historical Society (TRGHS). Early cultures used evergreen trees and branches as symbols of life and hope during the cold, dark winter months. The modern tradition of bringing a live or fresh-cut evergreen tree indoors and decorating it for the holidays began in 16th-century Germany and became popular in Britain and America during the 19th century.
“There is something about a real, living Christmas tree that makes the holidays feel different,” said Jackie Comstock, chair of Jingle & Glow. “Many of us have memories of going with our families to pick out a tree, coming home with it tied to the car, and then decorating it together. We are excited to have Kent Farms bring some of that magic to Jingle & Glow” said Jackie.
“Becoming a part of Jingle & Glow just made sense” said Kate Kent. “Christmas trees are about so much more than decorating for the holidays. They are about family, traditions and making our own history together. We love the idea of bringing that tradition into Jingle & Glow with our live trees and sharing it with the community.”

Jingle & Glow was created in 2025 as a new holiday tradition for Wellsville, with the goal of bringing families, residents and visitors together while celebrating the community’s history and supporting the mission of the TRGHS and its Nathaniel Dike Museum. The first event exceeded expectations, and now, organizers are building on that success with the second annual Jingle & Glow, with plans to make the display even more beautiful and memorable with the live fir trees from Kent Farms as one of the big additions!
Last year, proceeds from the inaugural Jingle & Glow supported the TRGHS, but were also shared with six other local organizations, extending the impact of the event well beyond the holiday celebration itself. “Preserving and celebrating the rich history of Wellsville isn’t something only one organization can accomplish alone, and we are proud that Jingle & Glow can be about more than beautiful lights,” Comstock said. “It is also about coming together as a community and giving back.
