Prizes, fun and more on Saturday at the 35th Annual Hornell Kiwanis Club Kids quarter-miler and Health Fair

The 35th Annual Hornell Kiwanis Club’s Kid’s Quarter-Miler & Health Fair will take pace on Saturday, Aug. 8 from 9 a.m. until noon at the Maple City Park track and football stadium in Hornell.

The event is open for boys and girls ages 2 to 12 and registration is $5. The race will start at 11 a.m.

Every racer receives a Burger King Gift Certificate and participation ribbon. Top 3 winners in each age group receive a trophy.

Hornell Kiwanis Club was founded in 1939 and has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for youth and youth activities in the Canisteo Valley over the years. If you would like to join the Hornell Kiwanis Club, contact Robert Peisher at 607-661-6173.

The Health Fair is a free community event will features a variety of local organizations and vendors that provide services and resources for children and families, including healthcare, education, early intervention, behavioral health, recreation, and family support programs.

The Health-Fair is sponsored by Oak Orchard Health in Hornell.

Families will have the opportunity to meet with community partners, learn about available services, enjoy family-friendly activities, and discover resources that support children’s health, development, and overall well-being.
