Every year during the Allegany County Fair, county lawmakers make a point to hold a public meeting in the open air, with the sound of farm animals and carnival rides in the background. The meeting is always extra special, planned as part civic performance and part working public meeting.

This year the Boy Scouts, US Army Major Thomas Shultz, local musicians, and state lawmakers will be on hand to participate in the 2pm meeting. Both Congressman Nick Langworthy and NY Governor Kathy Hochul will have top aides in attendance. Local businesswoman and major supporter of the fair, Lisa Clark-Shay will honored for her years of service to the event.
