Expanding Amity Daze into the future!
From the Amity Daze Group
BELMONT, NY — Three of Belmont’s most respected community organizations have joined forces to strengthen one of the village’s most cherished traditions. The Belmont Rotary Club, founders of Amity Daze, the American Legion Herbert W. DeLong Post 808, and the Belmont Fire Department are proud to announce a new collaborative partnership to organize and expand the 39th Annual Amity Daze, taking place August 7–8, 2026.
For nearly four decades, Amity Daze has been a beloved summer tradition celebrating Belmont through community yard sales, local businesses, food, entertainment, and family-friendly activities. By combining the strengths, volunteers, and resources of these three organizations, the event is poised to be an exciting weekend for all.
“This partnership represents what makes Belmont such a special community,” said Shannon Harding, a member of the organizing committee. “Rather than working separately, we’re bringing together three organizations with a shared commitment to serving Belmont. Together, we’re creating a bigger, better event that honors the tradition of Amity Daze while introducing exciting new experiences that will attract visitors from across the region.”
The collaboration combines the Rotary Club’s nearly 40-year legacy of organizing Amity Daze with the American Legion’s strong volunteer network and community facilities, along with the Belmont Fire Department’s long-standing dedication to public service and community engagement.
One of the most exciting additions this year is the inaugural Amity Daze Porch Fest, a village-wide music festival that will feature local musicians performing from porches, patios, lawns, and garages throughout Belmont. Visitors will be able to stroll through the village, enjoy live music, explore community yard sales, shop local vendors, and experience Belmont’s welcoming small-town atmosphere.
Additional attractions planned for the weekend include:
- Community-Wide Yard Sales
- Amity Daze Porch Fest
- Local Vendors and Artisans
- Family Activities at the Belmont Legion Complex
- Pickleball Tournament
- Basket Auction- Basket donation Details can be found on the Belmont Rotary Facebook Page
- Rotary Club Beef on Weck Meals
- Live Entertainment
- Euchre Tournament
- Demonstrations and Community Exhibits
- Activities for All Ages
Organizers hope the expanded event will not only provide a memorable weekend for residents but also encourage visitors from neighboring communities to discover Belmont’s businesses, parks, organizations, and historic charm.
“This collaboration is about investing in Belmont’s future,” organizers said. “When organizations work together, everyone benefits—our residents, our businesses, our nonprofits, and the many visitors who come to experience everything our community has to offer.”
Planning for the 2026 celebration is already underway, and the organizing committee is inviting community members to get involved. Musicians, home and business owners interested in participating in Porch Fest, are encouraged to become part of this exciting new chapter for Amity Daze.
Registration opportunities for vendors, Porch Fest hosts and performers, and community yard sales, are now active. Amity Daze Schedule and registration details have been sent to all residents.
The committee also extends an open invitation to additional civic organizations, churches, businesses, and community groups interested in supporting the event and helping it continue to grow in the years ahead.
