We are so excited to announce the appointment of Jennifer Jaquith to the position of School Business Official. Her hiring was approved by the Board of Education at this morning’s special meeting. She will begin July 1.
Mrs. Jaquith comes to Wellsville from the Hinsdale Central School District where she has been their School Business Administrator since 2021. She has extensive business administrator experience dating back to 2001 with Cattaraugus-Allegany BOCES and Bolivar-Richburg Central School. Prior to 2001, she worked for BOCES as a junior accountant with Hinsdale Central and Friendship Central school districts and from 1996 to 1998 worked for the Erie (Pa.) County Controller’s Office as an internal auditor.
“I am excited to join Wellsville and collaborate with staff, administrators, board members and the community in support of students,” Mrs. Jaquith said. “I look forward to using my experience in school business administration to help the district continue to align financial, instructional, and operational goals that best serve students.”
In 1995, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from The Pennsylvania State University, Behrend College. She received her Master of Science degree in Education in 2003 and followed that up with a Certificate of Advance Study in School Business Administration from SUNY College at Brockport in 2004.
Her other accomplishments include participation in the state and local levels of the Association of School Business Officials (ASBO). She is a Leadership Academy graduate and currently serves as Treasurer, Education Summit Planning Committee Co-Chairperson and Scholarship Committee Chairperson of the Allegany County Chapter. She is also a past President of the county chapter.
“I am very much looking forward to working with Jen,” said Superintendent Aaron Wolfe. “She has a wealth of experience in many roles within the business office setting and most importantly as the lead business official with a school district. We are very grateful that she has decided to join the Wellsville team!”
Mrs. Jaquith and her husband Chuck live in Allegany and have two children, Cassie and Adam.
