School vote is May 19th with bonus student art show!
By Marcia Lichtman, Retired Alfred-Almond School Psychologist, Alfred NY
I am writing to lend my support to the candidacy of Mark Bloxsom for a seat on the Alfred-Almond School Board. His background in economics and business makes him well suited to tackle the harsh realities of budgeting in a way which will maintain the excellent academic programs for which Alfred-Almond has always been known. His involvement in our small rural community is exceptional. With four children attending A-A, Mark can be found at sporting events, music and theater performances, town, village, and school board meetings, libraries, coffee houses, even the annual Hot Dog Day parade!
An excellent communicator, Mark does not shy away from the difficult questions and opinions across the political spectrum, and his open mind and collaborative, respectful approach to problem solving are just what are needed for the job he seeks. On May 19, before you take time to enjoy the wonderful student art that will grace our halls, please cast your vote for Mark Bloxsom.
I cannot imagine a more qualified, caring and committed candidate.
