From Literacy West,

BELMONT, NY — CORE The Learning Center is inviting community members to attend a free informational workshop on Wednesday, March 26, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon, at its Belmont location, 5455 State Route 19N, Belmont, NY. The workshop will highlight CORE’s wide range of free educational programs, workforce training, and Community Resource Room services available to residents at no cost.

The event is designed to introduce the community to CORE The Learning Center’s mission and services, which have supported local residents since 1986. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about programs that promote education, employment readiness, digital access, and overall community well‑being.

“CORE has grown alongside the community for nearly four decades,” said program representatives. “This workshop is an opportunity for individuals and families to see how many free resources are available to help them reach their goals — whether that’s earning a GED, gaining job skills, accessing technology, or connecting with supportive services.”

During the workshop, participants can learn more about:

  • GED and adult education programs
  • OSHA safety training
  • Digital literacy and math refreshers
  • Weekly community workshops
  • Telehealth Room access
  • Community Resource Room (CRR) services, including free computer and internet access, job search support, résumé assistance, and connections to local programs

CORE’s Community Resource Room (CRR) is a key focus of the event. The CRR provides a welcoming, inclusive space offering free access to technology, learning opportunities, and one‑to‑one support for community members of all ages. Services are available at CORE locations in Belmont and Batavia, helping to reduce barriers related to technology access, employment, and education.

The March 26 workshop is free and open to the public, and no prior registration is required. Community members, job seekers, students, families, and partner organizations are encouraged to attend and explore how CORE’s services can support personal and professional goals.

For additional information, community members may contact CORE The Learning Center at 585‑268‑5213 or visit the Belmont site during regular hours.
