March 10 arrests: NY State Police charge Friendship NY man for assaulting young children

Delevan and Amherst men arrested for crimes against children

A Joshua D. Avery-Sadler, age 31 of Friendship NY was arrested on March 5 and March 10 for appalling crimes against very young children. State police charge that the man abused a child under 11 years of age and was charged with a total of four misdemeanor crimes and two felony crimes of Sexual Abuse 1st.

Avery-Sadler’s first arrest indicated a 20,000 bail and according the Allegany County Sheriff, he remains incarcerated in the county jail.

Also arrested on March 10 by State Police was Casey N Davis, 30 years old of Delevan NY. Davis was charged with a Class E Felony of Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child under 16 years old. He was issued an appearance ticket and released to appear at future date.

From the New York State Police Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force

On March 10, 2026, the Bureau of Criminal Investigation stationed at SP Clarence arrested Michael D. Hojsan, 44 of Amherst, NY for Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Child (D Felony) and Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child (E Felony).

The Bureau of Criminal Investigation out of SP Clarence with the assistance from the Troop A Computer Crimes Unit, conducted an Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) investigation in the town of Amherst.  Investigation determined Hojsan possessed child pornography and was disseminating child pornography.

Hojsan was arraigned in the town of Amherst Court and was released on own recognizance and scheduled to return to court later in March 2026.

The mission of the ICAC Task Force is to identify individuals online who are attempting to lure children to meet for sex or those disseminating child sexual abuse material. The Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force Program (ICAC program) helps state and local law enforcement agencies develop an effective response to technology-facilitated child sexual exploitation and Internet crimes against children.

All those arrested a presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
