We understand these photos are difficult to see, but unfortunately this is Benny’s reality

Benny is the sweet boy pictured in the photos above. We cannot share many details at this time, but we can share that he was surrendered into our care yesterday and immediately rushed to Cornell for treatment.

The initial evaluation by Cornell showed that Benny is currently under 50% of his body weight, his sodium levels are elevated, and he is dealing with atrophy that will require physical therapy.

As of now, Benny will be spending the next 3-4 days at Cornell for treatment. We will continue to update as we are able. As a nonprofit, this treatment is not possible without the support of our community. We are endlessly thankful to be able to coordinate it, but also dependent upon your support.
We are asking for donations to our Frosty Fund to be able to provide the care for Benny that he so desperately deserves. Benny’s care is currently estimated to be between $3,000-$5,000.

More about the Frosty Fund from our 2024 reporting:

We would also like to say thank you to the authorities that contacted us and are involved in this matter, thank you to staff and Cornell for rushing into action, and thank you to our community that makes this care possible.

❤️Donations can be made via PayPal or Venmo below or mailed or brought to the shelter at 7649 Industrial Park Rd Hornell, NY 14843.
