Allegany, Steuben and Yates County DMV offices will be closed
From the Allegany County Clerk’s Office,
The Allegany County Department of Motor Vehicles is reminding residents to plan ahead. Starting later this week, the Allegany County DMV, along with every New York State DMV will temporarily shut down for a major technology system upgrade.
“All in-person transactions, online services and phone support will be unavailable beginning Friday, February 13th. The shutdown will continue through Tuesday, February 17th. Additionally, our office will be closed to the public on Thursday, February 12th in observance of Lincoln’s birthday.
We expect to resume normal operations at the start of business on Wednesday, February 18th, given the go-ahead from Albany. We encourage anyone who has time-sensitive business to complete those transactions before the shutdown begins. We appreciate your patience while we navigate this major upgrade.”
