Hundreds of gravesites honored, plans for 2026 underway
From Scio Hometown Heroes, Wreaths Across America Branch 0575
Scio Hometown Heroes successfully hosted its first Wreaths Across America Day at Fairlawn Cemetery, honoring local veterans with the placement of 175 wreaths. The event was made possible through the dedication of organizers, volunteers, and community partners.

The organization extends sincere thanks to all who contributed, with special recognition to Emma Elliott for performing the National Anthem; Jan Talbett, Mary Lindquist, and Suzie Thomas for their guidance and donations; the many volunteers who assisted; and the Wellsville American Legion Post 702 Honor Guard for providing ceremonial support.

Building on this success, Wreaths Across America will match all wreaths purchased through December 31, doubling the impact of community contributions.
Scio Hometown Heroes aims to expand future efforts to ensure every veteran is honored across all four cemeteries in the Town of Scio. Community members are encouraged to participate.
