Chalom becomes new member, fishing derby nets $18,0000, community contributions

The Wellsville Lions Club is dedicated to serve the greater Wellsville Community in keeping with Our Motto: “We Serve.”  One of the ways we do this is through donations in response to requests.  If anyone is in need of our services or financial help, please contact any Lions Club member or visit us on Facebook.

Here is the latest contribution to the community for the month of October 2025.

$500 to Wellsville Salvation Army Food Pantry (Health and Welfare)

$250 to Wellsville Members of the Cuba Equestrian Team (Youth Activities)

$250 to Twin Tier Youth Baseball Wellsville Travel Team (Youth Activities)

Here is the latest contribution to the community for the month of November 2025.

$300 to Lions Foundation (Wellsville Lions Club)

$300 to Woodlawn Cemetery for upkeep and ongoing projects (Civic Improvement)

At the Lions meeting on 20 November Lion President Mike Raptis welcomed New Lions member Miriam Chalom into the Lions Club.  At the same meeting, Lion Bruce Hand presented a check for $18,000 to Mike Raptis derived from the 35th Annual Trout Derby.  This money will enable the Lions Club to continue to provide support to the community.
