Live Bluegrass music on November 13

From the David A. Howe,

Before the hustle and bustle of the holiday season is upon us, the David A. Howe Library will be hosting two fun (and free) events in the Nancy Howe Auditorium.

On Friday, November 7, they will be showing a cult-classic film, starring Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon, and Meat Loaf. The movie will start at 9 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to don costumes, bring props, and participate exuberantly. Book Cellars will also be participating in the experience with a lineup of snacks and beverages that go along with the film. Stop in there to enjoy some refreshments, support a local business, and get ready to for the hilarity to follow. For more details – including the movie title – visit the library’s website (davidahowelibrary.org/auditorium).

About a week later, Creek Bend Band, an old favorite that has performed on the Nancy Howe stage almost every year since 2009, will do so once again. Creek Bend Band is a bluegrass band based in Buffalo, NY! Altogether, they have recorded five projects including two that were released nationally by the Copper Creek label. The library is excited to welcome them back during the cozy fall season. They will be performing Thursday, November 13, at 7 p.m.

As with most shows the library sponsors, these events are free and open to the public thanks to the generous support of the local community.
