October 11 event with big prizes for a great cause, register today
From Shaye Reagan, Executive Director, Rehema Home United States
It’s fall in Allegany County and there is no shortage of things that could fill your time. But how many of those things can you do with your teen or pre-teen kids that EVERYONE will love? I can think of just one: Wellsville’s Amazing Race.
You have just a few days left to sign up, make memories and maybe even win $500! (At the time of writing, the chances of winning are 1 in 5, so you REALLY don’t want to miss this.). The Amazing Race is a family-friendly scavenger hunt race for young and old. You’ll gather a car full of friends and/or family, come on down for a 1pm start time on Saturday, October 11th at the American Legion in Wellsville, and you’ll be off! You’ll be given a list of things to collect, pictures to take and challenges to complete, all for points to beat your opponents! It really could not be more fun – and trust me, your kids will thank you! Preregistration is strongly encouraged HERE; come by 12:30pm on Saturday to register in person.

In case this isn’t for you, then come on down for one of our other fun activities that day! From noon-4 on October 11th at the Wellsville American Legion you can shoot your shot at the Basket Auction (over $1,000 in prizes!), buy a Stearns Chicken BBQ (while they last) and even buy your chance at the Buffalo Bills BOX SEAT raffle! SO MANY WAYS to have a great time…and all for a good cause!
Every penny of proceeds from this event and associated raffles will support the work of Rehema Home in Kenya. Rehema Home has rescued over 200 orphaned and abandoned children in Kenya for over 26 years and is still going strong. Each Amazing Race car, basket raffle ticket and Buffalo Bills raffle will help provide food, education and medical care for the kids of Rehema Home. And THAT is a guaranteed win!
Contact shaye@rehemahome.org or Lois at 585.808.1256 with questions; basket raffle drawing and Bills Raffle will be at 4pm, need not be present to win.
