Donations accepted from October 11-November 11
From ACDC,
Belmont, NY – At October’s “Coffee with Democrats” (Saturday, October 11, at the Friendship Free Library), the Allegany County Democratic Committee will commence a month-long project to collect clothing and needful things for the county’s unhoused population.
Particularly needed are socks and long underwear (thermal if possible), winter outerwear, hand/food warmers, blankets, and tarps or tents as well as all clothing items for men, women, and children. This drive will continue throughout October, and drop-off points will be available across the county. To obtain the address of the nearest drop-off location to you, contact ACDC by phone/text/email.
In addition, AC Dems will collect non-perishable food and personal care items for donation to Friendship’s local food pantry. The Committee is proud to organize these efforts to help Allegany County residents support vulnerable people in our communities.
Coffee with Democrats runs from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm and is open to all registered Democrats and friends of the committee. Coffee and light snacks will be served. Please bring a friend and, if possible, donations for these two collections. Sign up here for more details.
