CORE, The Learning Center (Literacy West NY, Inc.), is excited to announce the start of our 5th Annual Winter Drive! Thanks to the generous support of area individuals, organizations and businesses last year, our sites collected more than 2,990 winter items—including hats, mittens, and scarves. The Belmont site alone was able to distribute these items to over 16 local organizations and schools.
Through last year’s drive, we also discovered an additional need in our communities for winter socks and blankets. This year, we are expanding our efforts to include these essential items. Please see the attached flyer for details—our 2025 Winter Drive will run from September 9 through November 3, 2025. This timeline allows us to sort and distribute donations before the holidays and colder months arrive.
Donations can be dropped off at our Belmont site (8:30 am – 4:00 pm). If you prefer, monetary contributions can be mailed to 5455 State Route 19N, Belmont, NY 14813. All monetary donations will be used to purchase winter items on your behalf.
