“In social media, observe how advertising, of poor taste and disgusting content, is being strategically placed to unsettle”
A COLUMN By Frederick Sinclair
There is a description of an action or effect, in popular use today, that is loosely defined as an act, intention or inflicted assault. The term, Gaslighting, originated from a 1938 play and was followed by a film titled Gaslight in 1944. In the storyline, a husband cleverly manipulates his wife into believing she is losing her mind. Gaslighting can take form in different situations such as an interpersonal psychological manipulation and emotional abuse, or on a collective scale such as in governance, politics, corporate manipulations and secretive deep state psy-ops. Examples are where the gaslighter denies or confound reality and lie to confuse and misdirect; trivializes to minimize feelings and concern; elicits fear and doubt; shifts blame onto the victim or scapegoat.
Let’s take a look at governmental and media gaslighting that uses: persistent denial even in the face of proof; counter narratives to distract, confuse and sow doubt; discrediting critics with accusations of corruption or incompetence; ignore and trivialize valid concerns as overblown or unreasonable. Sound familiar? The desired result being erosion of trust, disorientation and anxiety, lack of motivation or momentum for action, and increased polarization. A perfect example of government gaslighting was a recent announcement by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Public awareness has peaked regarding negative public health, weather and climate impacts of Geoengineering involving (chemtrails), weather modification, HARP, and the spraying of chemicals to block out the sun. The EPA investigation into the matter revealed that Geoengineering and ‘contrails’ are real and that our government has experimented with the aerial application of Sulfur Dioxide. EPA, in statements and their special Geoengineering webpage, does not reveal any current programs and or what has or is being done by industry. The word ‘Chemtrail’ is never used, nor is the proof recognized that aluminum, strontium, boron, nanoparticulates of polymer,(plastics) and graphene as well as coal fly ash, have been identified in samples of fallout from artificially seeded clouds. These pollutants are also being identified in our soil, waters, bloodsamples and fallout wiped from the hoods of cars. Geoengineeringwatch.org has been informing the public of dangers of these airborne pollutants for decades. The EPA announcement, that Geoengineering is real, as well as follow up statements, gaslight (trivialize) the impacts. There is a marginalization of concern and lack of urgency to do something about it. One who is concerned about health and the environment is likely to leave the EPA Geoengineering webpage somewhat informed on what they say they know, but still wondering what the truth and extent of it really is.
Americans and humanity as a whole have intense interest in the existence of UFO / UAP extraterrestrial life. Questions remain unanswered regarding recovered downed UFOs, the government and industry reverse engineering of alien technology and why we are denied full disclosure? For decades, gaslighting of humanity took the form of flat out lying about any extraterrestrial (ET) interaction whatsoever. Now the official position is; well, maybe we have had incidents but the general public isn’t capable of understanding or adjusting and therefore, in the interest of economic stability and national security, any advanced energy, propulsion and harvested alien technologies have to stay classified and under our (gov. and industry) strict control. Congressional UFO hearings are also failing to summon whistle blowers who would completely disclose information that would hands down, demand action. There is, however, repeatedly elicited, an ever present fear of ET superiority, intentions and weapons. The knee jerk reaction, being promoted, is that humanity will eventually have to fight off invading ETs. And of course, to be prepared, a united world order will have to take charge, maintain control and provide continued protection. Current media coverage of the AI/ATLAS (comet) arrival has NASA officials, astrophysicists and our best minds, repeatedly characterized as being unsettled and concerned. Highlighting ‘terrified’ quantum physicists, ‘unsettled’ rocket scientists and a ‘scared’ military, is classic gaslighting, intended to instill fear and anxiety, about conflict with ETs, in the psyche of humanity.
Gaslighting can be mitigated through critical thinking, fact checking and listening to gut reaction. Watch out for surreal AI generated narratives and graphics. Does it pass the smell test? If not, don’t ingest it. More importantly, how does it make you feel? Your emotional response can actually be a good BS meter. In social media, observe how advertising, of poor taste and disgusting content, is being strategically placed to unsettle those who seek articles, reports and information that may be truthful and of real value. This is done to subliminally disorient the viewer and shadow the content without having to resort to censorship. In the end, ask yourself if are you are more free to discern, more secure in your understanding and feel good about what you are experiencing, or, are you being Gaslighted?
