Rock & Roll Pioneer, Legend, Hall of Fame Member and Corning Native Duane Eddy to be honored with a Historical Marker Dedication Ceremony during the Gaffer District’s Harvest Festival on September 20th, 2025 at 2:00 p.m.

This dedication and unveiling ceremony will include many dignitaries and  is free and open to the public

What: Duane Eddy Historical Marker Dedication Ceremony 

When: Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 2:00 p.m.

Where: The edge of Centennial Park, across the street from the clock tower

Duane Eddy  (April 26, 1938 – April 30, 2024) was born in Corning NY  and went on to achieve international fame for his signature “Twang” sound. In 1987, Eddy won a Grammy award for Best Rock Instrumental Performance for his re-recording of “Peter Gunn” with Art of Noise. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994 and the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum in 2008 and the Steuben County Hall of Fame in 2021
