Business and Professional Women’s 2025 Scholarships awarded to Fisk, Middaugh, Beaton

At recent meetings, the group awarded three $500 scholarships

The BPW Club awarded a $500 Adult learner Scholarship to Sabrena Beaton.  Sabrena, from Scio has her Master of Education in Reading Education, is married and has two children. She is the PreK-12 Library Media Specialist at Scio Central School.  The $500 scholarship was awarded for her work on completing her second master’s From St. John Fisher University for a Master of Science in Library Media.

The Wellsville BPW also awarded their 2025 Healthcare Scholarships. Two $500 scholarships each were awarded to Wellsville High School graduates Shaeleigh Fisk and Cloey Middaugh.

Shaeleigh Fisk is going to Duquesne University as a Health Science major, as she wants to become a pediatrician.

Cloey Middaugh has been accepted to Alfred State in the Individual Studies Program.  She wants to become a Dental Hygienist.

The Wellsville Business and Professional Women Club was started in 1924 by four women and today they have about 30 active members from Wellsville and surrounding towns.  The BPW club consists of the Olive Twig of the Jones Memorial Hospital.  BPW scholarships have been given every year since 1969 to help high school graduates attend college.
