The Wellsville Creative Arts Center is pleased to announce its lineup of Fall Adult Ceramic Classes, running from September 7 through November 15, 2025. With a wide range of offerings for beginners and experienced ceramicists alike, these hands-on classes provide an opportunity to deepen your practice, try something new, and join a vibrant creative community.

Whether you are interested in learning to throw on the potter’s wheel, hand-build imaginative sculptural forms, or simply enjoy some creative time in the studio, WCAC’s fall programming has something for everyone. Taught by experienced instructors in a welcoming studio environment, these classes are designed to support learning, exploration, and artistic growth.

Fall 2025 Class Offerings Include:

  • Try Clay: Beginner Wheel-Throwing
     A perfect introduction to ceramics, this short-format class is great for curious beginners looking to get their hands dirty.
  • Beginning Wheel-ThrowingTuesdays, 2:00pm–4:00pm
     Learn the basics of centering clay and creating functional pottery on the wheel in this beginner-level course.
  • Wheel-Throwing – All Skill Levels

    • Wednesdays, 2:00pm–4:00pm
    • Wednesdays, 6:00pm–8:00pm
       Designed for beginners and returning students alike, these classes offer personalized instruction at every level.
  • Ceramic Sculpture – All Skill LevelsWednesdays, 5:00pm–7:00pm
     Explore sculptural techniques and creative clay construction in this dynamic course that encourages personal expression.
  • Ceramic Hand-Building – All Skill LevelsWednesdays, 2:00pm–4:00pm
     Learn to build with clay using slab, coil, and pinch techniques, ideal for functional and sculptural work alike.
  • Cardboard sculpture – All skills Level – Thursday, 4pm-6pm                                     This course introduces the history and techniques of low- and high-relief sculpture, combining collaborative practice, material exploration, and skill-building to expand students’ visual language.
  • Ceramic Hand-Building (Fall 2025)Thursdays, 1:00pm–3:00pm
     A daytime hand-building class perfect for learners of all levels interested in tactile, creative clay projects.
  • Studio Space Rentals (Without Instructor)
     For experienced artists looking for flexible studio access, WCAC offers studio rentals without instruction.
