Get ready to dust off your dancing shoes and embrace the glitz and glam as Hornell’s much-anticipated Adult Prom returns on February 22, 2025. Hosted by Breanna Yanni and Brittney Weakland, this year’s event promises an unforgettable evening filled with music, style, and community. The prom will be held at The Main Place in Hornell from 7:00 pm to midnight, followed by an after-party at Biggie’s from midnight to 1:30 am.

The theme for this year is “Boho Disco,” a vibrant blend of sparkle, neon, and bohemian vibes—perfect for those who love to stand out in style. Breanna Yanni, inspired by her fondness for the World’s Largest Disco in Buffalo, came up with the unique theme. Attendees are reminded that this is not a costume party; instead, formal attire with a playful, disco-inspired twist is required. Think glamorous, fun, and boho-chic rather than 70’s Halloween costumes.

Tickets are priced at $30 each and are non-refundable. They can be purchased at Elaura Salon, where Breanna and Brittney work, or by contacting Brittney at 607-385-6948. This is an 18+ event, ensuring a mature and fun-filled evening for all attendees. The ticket price includes entry, access to snacks and finger foods, and the chance to participate in raffles and contests.

DJ McCool, a crowd favorite from last year’s prom, will be spinning tracks and taking music requests throughout the evening. Attendees can capture memories with friends at the professional photo booth and through the lens of photographer Lauren Guthrie. A raffle will feature prizes and baskets from local businesses, and the highlight of the evening will be the crowning of the prom king and queen.
For many, the prom offers a chance to relive or recreate the high school experience they may have missed. Brittney Weakland shared a heartwarming story from last year’s event, where the prom queen tearfully expressed that she never imagined winning such an honor. Stories like hers make the event truly special—a celebration for those who didn’t attend prom in high school, had a less-than-stellar experience, or simply want a magical night out.
This year’s event has garnered tremendous support from local businesses, including Hush Speakeasy, Biggie’s, Johnny Carbone (owner of The Main Place), Berry Vine Creations, Giovanni’s, The Spotlight Theater, Marino’s, Texas Café, N’Dulge, Patty’s, Maple City Dodge, and Julie Dodge. Their contributions and sponsorships have helped bring the event to life, ensuring an evening filled with surprises and delights.
The after-party at Biggie’s will keep the energy going from midnight to 1:30 am. For those traveling from out of town, Hornell offers plenty of accommodations and dining options, making it easy for guests to turn the event into a weekend getaway.
In addition to creating a memorable evening, the Adult Prom also serves a greater purpose. Proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to Turning Point charity, supporting those in need within the community.
To further enhance the prom experience, Brittney Weakland will soon be hosting a makeup class to help attendees perfect their look for the big night. Details for the class will be announced at a later date.
Last year’s attendees shared heartfelt reasons for joining the celebration. For some, it was the chance to make up for missing their high school prom due to circumstances like the pandemic or personal challenges. Others simply wanted a night to shine. As one mother who attended shared, she missed her high school prom because she was pregnant. This event is for everyone who deserves a night of joy, elegance, and connection.
So mark your calendars, plan your outfit, and get ready to dance the night away at Hornell’s Adult Prom. With its unique theme, stellar entertainment, and heartwarming mission, it’s a night you won’t want to miss. See you on February 22, 2025, at The Main Place!
