The Route 21 accident claimed the life of a 62-year-old Steuben County man
Amity-based State Police reported on Oct. 1, 2024, at 8:40 p.m., troopers out of the Amity barracks responded to a motorcycle accident on State Route 21 in the town of Andover.
The investigation determined that the 2017 Harley Davidson was traveling north on State Route 21 and exited the east shoulder of the roadway striking the ditch, troopers said.
The driver of the motorcycle, James E. Riefer, 62 of Arkport, was pronounced at the scene, troopers said.
