Wellsville School Board seeks community input for school Superintendent search

From Wellsville Central Schools,

The Wellsville Central School District Board of Education is announcing the posting for the Superintendent Vacancy in the district. The board is being assisted in the process of selecting a superintendent by Scott E. Payne, District Superintendent and CEO of Cattaraugus-Allegany BOCES, who will screen applications and recommend a group of candidates to the board. All decisions concerning the selection process and candidate appointment will be made by the Wellsville school board. The board is seeking input from the school community through a series of focus group meetings arranged and facilitated by Mr. Payne.

A community survey is posted on the district’s website and can be found at this link: https://forms.gle/EZhTQJoL3gmtBPA17. The survey will be open until Nov. 15. The planned timeline is:

– Application Deadline: Friday, Nov. 15

– Meetings with Constituency Groups Completed by: December

– Applicant Review and Selection of Candidates by the Board of Education: Nov. 25

– Initial Interviews with BOE: Jan. 6

– Finalist Interviews with the BOE: Jan. 13-15

– Anticipated Start Date: March 1
