Mass gatherings and great times will still dominate, magic hour 3-4pm
By Andrew Harris
While the fun will go on, especially in Hornell’s Shawmut Park, Swain Ski Resort, and many other great venues in Western NY…. there will be no clear view of the much anticipated solar eclipse this afternoon.
The darkening will go on and the world around us will still get very strange for about an hour before, during, and after the moon eclipses the sun. Be ready the eclipse to begin in our area at about 245pm, reach totality about 320pm, and see normal daylight at about 345pm.
That will be just the start of the celebration!! Festivals, concerts, wine tastings, and other fun congregations will still dominate the day!
