Jones Memorial Hospital Auxiliary announces a return of the “Royal Court”

Share:

The Jones Memorial Hospital Auxiliary is having its Royal Court (formerly Queen & King Candidates) this year after a two-year hiatus due to covid restrictions.

Each year the Twigs of the JMH and other organizations sponsor a student who is a sophomore in the spring and will be a junior in the fall. This event culminates in November, when the Gala, a huge fundraiser for the hospital, will be the night we find out which student sponsored will be crowned Queen or King. This crowning depends on how many Grand Raffle Tickets they sell. Grand Raffle tickets are given to each candidate in June and they continue to sell them up to the day before the Gala, held annually in November. All proceeds from the raffle and the Gala are used to purchase medical equipment for the Jones Memorial Hospital.

The Royal Court is open to anyone who wants to sponsor a candidate in the county, not just Wellsville. They just need to be a sophomore now and junior in November.

This is a great opportunity for young women and men to expand their talents and develop skills that will last them a lifetime. The candidates will also a part of an important community service project.

There are basic requirements to adhere to, and this will all be explained at our meetings. The Grand Raffle tickets will be given to the candidates at our organizational meeting in June.

If you know of any group or organization that would like to sponsor a candidate, please contact Marsha Sick at 585-593-0606, or email to [email protected] by May 27th , 2022. Thank you.
